Let’s TALK 2024.

As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on how much has changed in the last 12 months. April marked the beginning of my photography business, and in just a few short months, it has grown into something I’m truly proud of. From weddings to brand sessions to lifestyle shoots, it’s hard to believe even just 12 months ago Hattie Creative was just an idea in my head.

Starting this business felt like a leap of blind faith. What began as a dream quickly became a whirlwind of creative challenges and rewarding moments that reminded me why I wanted to pursue photography as a career. This year was about learning, experimenting, and, most importantly, growing. I’ve started to shape a style that feels authentic, one that reflects who I am and what I want to bring to those in front of my camera.

Weddings have been at the heart of this journey. I’ve had the immense privilege of witnessing so many couples’ love stories—small, intimate moments and grand celebrations alike. It’s the stolen glances, quiet tears, and wild bridesmaids on the dance floor that make this work so fun. Every wedding is unique, and I’ve loved capturing the fleeting, beautiful moments that make up a day as significant as this. Being a sentimental person myself, I can’t help but give 100% to my couples.

Beyond weddings, I have collaborated with small businesses, creative entrepreneurs, and passionate individuals. To translate someone’s vision into images that speak to their purpose, to their audience, and to themselves is a process I truly value. Whether it was modern, natural headshots or creative campaigns, these sessions pushed me to think outside the box and celebrate individuality.

Lifestyle photography brought a different kind of beauty to this year—one that is raw, real, and deeply personal. I’ve had the joy of capturing pregnancies, newborns, and simple days spent together, filled with laughter and love. These sessions have reminded me time and time again that life’s unplanned, everyday moments are often the ones we cherish the most.

None of this would have been possible without the trust and support of my wonderful clients, friends, and family. Having people believe in you, trust you and invite you into their lives, and share their moments with you, is something I will always be thankful for.

As I look ahead to 2025, I feel a spark of excitement for what’s to come. A lot has changed this year, with unexpected turns along the way, but I truly believe that everything meant for you will find its way to you.This year has been a launchpad, and I can’t wait to continue developing creatively, experimenting with new ideas and work with amazing people in the next year to come. Whether it’s weddings, brands, or lifestyle sessions, I’m ready for what the next year brings. Below I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite images from the year.
